Briefing, then car set up with putting some teared Toyo tyres and quick clean with Shining Monkey got us ready for the practice.
My first run was something I was not expecting to happen, the gearbox exploded , I though that was it.., but thanks to David from Twinscroll who I met at exhibition earlier in the morning for helping me with the parts and advise and help of getting all in one piece. The rest of the day and till late night me and my mate were up and down from under the car getting the box out and with help of everyone around doing what we could to get this beast ready for the next day. Jurate was so beautiful, that people was surrounding our working place for sure not to check what are we doing ,but to snap the shot with the princess=)
Finally we have succeeded in doing so and another early morning wake up on Sunday got us only few bolts left to put in places and we were ready for the test of something which still was under the question if its going to work!
After my first test run it was clear, that unfortunately the car barely had any drive to the front wheels if any at all, so had to learn the new car...with each run I was getting better with the handling of all that power mostly to rear wheels...despite I was almost standstill during the launches..
But I was very happy and thankful, that I could get back on the track and comete...
Anyway my final run was with not without the trouble either.., 1st run was ok and I got a win as Jake Archer hit the blocks, despite i was second later , we changed lanes , aligned on start line and here we go, 1st gear, launch, change to second and what? .... BANG.. again... ahhrr, car still rolling what to do? fraction of the second, trying other gears... nothing there, just a crappy squeaky noises and crunchy cv joints or whatever it was..yeahhh, rear diff or driveshaft ..., car still moving 5mph , my mind got only one thing , I got to compete..., but then loosing the even 5mph drive, still got to do the 720 in washing machine .., but how?... next thing was done on the level of not understanding of what I am actually doing, but realized that I am out of the car pushing it with my hands through collecting all the blocks on the way, the end, finish line reached, I lost the final battle, but competed the race, that's more important rather than outcome=) Thanks to Jake and to Marshals who helped to push the car in the end of this disastrous moment =)))
